More Snow in Montreal

Sophie and I went for a late afternoon walk in Parc La Fontaine yesterday. I'm growing weary of winter, but there was fresh snow, so the beast was happy.

After this, the camera battery died. We walked for almost two hours and kept crossing paths with the same mother and son who were also on a long walk. By the mid point of the walk, Sophie got excited every time we saw them and greeted them as if they were old friends.
What a goof!

Pablo espouses his theory of life as a dog.
Sophie argues intently

Do not be afraid. They are enjoying their debate, despite sounding a little aggressive at times. While watching this video, you absolutely must NOT take in any of the background. My office is a complete disaster area. Floor to ceiling.
Do not judge me!

SOAPY BRADOR

Notice how she positions herself into the corner of the tub, as far away from the water source as possible.

I was going to wait a few days to post the Soapy Brador series, but the pressure to get on with it has been intense.

We would like to thank Joe for bestowing the name Soapy Brador upon the beast.

Now please scroll down and check out the visitor of the day.

Update: Heidi & Theo, the two rescue doodles, have homes. Good for them!
Guess who came to visit,
prompting Sophie to take a bath?

Soapy Brador photos to follow.

IN OTHER NEWS: Still no word from the dog rescue, but I have since talked to a woman in Vermont about a Labradoodle. It is possible that I have lost my mind? Forget I asked that question.

I have enquired about Heidi

and Theo

They were both rescued from a puppy mill.

I would prefer Heidi.
Sophie would prefer Theo.
We might have to arm/paw wrestle for it.

Someone I know is contemplating a Corgi.
Someone who lives right next door.
I could be mentoring a Corgi Diva.
Must begin preparations.

Disqualified?

Despite long range swimming avec tennis ball and bird retrieving, Sophie was not even considered in the running for the Sporty Dog competition. Determined to correct this injustice she held her own Sophie Minster.

The competition was tough, but Sophie won not only the Sporty Dog category but Best in Show as well.

Vive La Sophie Brador!

Clarification: The various other Minsters (West, Mango, etc.) actually begged Sophie to compete; however, it was only the Sophie Minster that recognized her true greatness as the best beast ever.

Denied Entry
in the not-so-sporty category.

Something about a conflict of interest.
Harumph.

Sophie Dans la Ruelle
Which means that we were in the back lane,
which is a pretty typical Montreal back lane
with lots of snow and graffiti.
