Sophie is a very bad dog.
VERY BAD.

This morning, we went for a walk around the neighbourhood with our house guests.  Feeling a bit peckish, we stopped at Le Fromentier, cited by many as the best patisserie in Montreal.

They do make a lovely loaf of bread and nice croissants and such.

The kids chose a pastry called L'Empereur, which looked very much like the one on the right in the photo above.  (The other is called Le Nid du Poire.  That's a poached pear in the middle and underneath the pear, as special surprise, is chocolate.)

Outside Le Fromentier, one of the kids -- a 5' 6", 15-year old kid -- pulled out her L'Empereur and without warning, Sophie jumped up and grabbed it from her hand.  It was down the hatch before I could say Bad Dog!

This is the spot where
 the picture of Sophie
could be, but isn't,
because she is
a very bad dog.

Needless to say, Sophie was in a heap of trouble.  So much so, that she doesn't get her photo on the blog today. She's grounded!
